DTWF #78 – Hooker cows, Boston beer party, and don’t waste the toner!

Wow.. another episode within a month.. what’s going on here??

Dan and Andrea join Justin in the studio for the first “post-Deena” episode. And while we could never replace her, we try our best to minimize your pain.

Let us know what you think.. as we say in the consulting biz, “throw hard, not sharp.”

  1. Deena says:

You’re right! I was listening… (and only judging a little bit.) Just a couple observations:

    1) Jon + India + maintaining odd hours + voicemail + replayed via skype + recorded + dowloaded to my iPod = Jon having a butch voice.

    2) In the Boston recap, I’m proud of Justin for stating his age correctly on the first attempt. And I can attest to the definition of ‘cuddling’ – who knew?

    3) You kids did well, and my cockles are warmed knowing that the shark hasn’t been jumped.

    4) Dan’s howdy-dos really show that Dan’s voice and inflection is perfectly suited for NPR.

Accents and cock pics to all!

  2. Yay! Great progrum. And we still have Deena’s wise input.

  3. KimFal says:

    I miss Deena.

That being said, the podcast was entertaining this week… and I don’t hate Andrea as much as I once did. She didn’t seem as annoying this week. Maybe it’s because she didn’t mention how “hot” she was 34785365 times like the other times she was on the podcast!

    I still miss Deena.

  4. Justin says:

    We all miss Deena.

Kim.. another thing to consider is that we’re all about the hyperbole when it comes to describing ourselves. Much like “fat is a state of mind,” so is hot. Just as much as we exaggerate and aren’t really being self-loathing when we talk about being “fat kids,” given the chance to get to know Andrea you would find that being “hot, not clever” is also not as genuinely narcissistic as it might sound.

Wow, I think there’s a thesis in here somewhere.

    LY, LYB,

    Dr. Justin

  5. Chris says:

Mmm…hot Justin and hot Dan, together again on the same podcast. Like the chocolate and peanut butter of the podcasting universe–two great tastes that taste great together! Work on setting up that three-way for me, m’kay boys?

  6. Sergio says:

I immediately noticed Jon sounded different too. I wonder if he feels he has to pretend he’s straight while in India?

  7. Marina says:

    Hi from So-Cal,
Marina here, dropping a note to let you know that the Women In Podcasting page has a snazzy new URL
is where you’ll find all the podcasts that women have some sort of part in.

  8. I haven’t commented on the show in a long time…

So the show IS different with Deena and Jon gone (though the Noj will live on, I’m sure!), but it was still good! I love Andrea from previous episodes and I love her just as much now. And like a few people mentioned, Jon sounded WAY butcher. Guess Justin wins the argument this week about who sounds gayer!

And Chris’ chocolate and peanut butter comment above just shot the image in my head…

Two people running down the road carrying Dan and Justin…

    The collide…

You go your Justin in my Dan!
Well you got your Dan in my Justin!

    The innuendo abounds…

  9. Tara says:

First I would like to say thank you for all of the great shows. Unfortunately with the change in the group dynamic, the show is just not as entertaining. Again thank you for all the great shows and for bringing me so many laughs.

Congrats on the pending wedding Deena!

  10. Garth says:

“On THIS WEEK’S EPISODE”??? Somebody tell that girl that the correct line is “On tonight’s show….”

  11. Eric says:

May I make a suggestion? Justin, perhaps stop making new epsiodes of DTWF and start a new show. One where you won’t have anything to live up to, and one that bitches won’t complain about “not being the same”.

I loved this episode. It was different and a little sad without Deena, but I still loved it. I laughed as I usually do.

Maybe I’m just too loyal of a listener to not be entertained by anything any one of you guys do. Keep it up please. It was interesting to hear new voices, I enjoyed it.

I guess I don’t care if you end DTWF, but Justin don’t stop podcasting.

  12. cindy says:

I have been listening to back episodes religiously ever since stumbling upon your podcast on itunes 2 weeks ago. I also listened to this episode, and its just as funny as before! It was sad not to hear Deenas voice (i got accustomed to hearing her in my ear all day lol ) but i will continue listening religiously as long as you keep pod casting!
My coworkers now think im insane because yall keep me laughing all day long!

    Keep laughing!

  13. Cris says:

Great show as always. I won’t lie and say that I didn’t miss Deena & Jon, but I’ve always enjoyed Andrea & Dan. I kind of like the special guests in the past so to have them be more regular than special is a-ok with me!
Keep up the great work and keep the shows coming. 😀

  14. Michael says:

I miss Deena, but Andrea seems funny. And she has huge boobs. I’m willing to give her a shot.

One important listener comment, and please pay attention to this one: Jon’s India recaps are BORING AS HELL. Perhaps you could do those once ever several episodes? Hahaha.

    Keep up the good work!

  15. Don says:

I thought DTWF was done without Deena… I was wrong.

Are we any closer to seeing Andrea’s tits?

    Keep em comin,

  16. Morgan says:

Show is still as funny as always. Yes, I miss Deena dearly, but i love the new peeps. Dan and andrea, y’all are hilarious. justin, we’ve talked so you know what i think of you. (it’s all good… i think jk) Jon did sound really butch. It was so odd. Great show!

  17. Cynthia says:

Jon’s butch voice scares me a little, is that wrong?

  18. Ed Lover in Boston says:

You gotta tell me what restaurant that was that you went to when you visited. Do you remember?
The “Fat Tire” story killed me…

  19. Justin says:

It was Sunset Grill and Tap in Allston. I still highly recommend it (especially if you like beer). The food was good.. just be sure not to be seated in Doug’s section!
